We aim for presenting diverse art works to the widest possible audience for dialogue, exchange and exposure. Besides our expo hall with changing exhibitions, other platforms that bring art closer to the community include:
Art at the table
We show art in our dinning room, where people come together, eat, or spend time catching up and sharing a drink. Here, art is at sight! “Art at the table” allows visitors to be frequently surrounded by all kinds of creative work while they chill and enjoy their time at Tankstation.
“The room” is a pseudo-secluded space with the potential to become anything! As our ‘unofficial cultural free zone,’ it has served a range of serious and playful purposes like a DIY station; DIY Gender Neutral Nail Polish Saloon, Tarot reading sessions, Henna Tattoos, massage, and meditation.
Artist in Residency
“Common” is a project initiated with the goal to facilitate possibilities for dialogue, exchange, experimentation and collaboration. We offer the opportunity to live and work within a small creative community for a period that can range from one week to four weeks. Whether they’re dedicated to drawing, painting, playing music, cooking, doing cultural research, or any other socially engaged practices, artists from all disciplines are encouraged to apply for a residency at Tankstation. Artists accepted into the residency program will have the opportunity to share their practice in our space and are expected to give at least one public presentation of their work.

Opening hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 18:00 – 22:00
In addition, we are open to organise workshops, artist talks, arts & crafts markets, and more! If you have any proposals contact us via the contact page!
