Join Tankstation during Museumnacht Enschede 2026 for an evening that celebrates the rich connections between nature, culture, food, and sensory experience. Through shared meals, immersive art, and encounters with the living garden, visitors are invited to slow down, reconnect, and experience Tankstation’s community-driven ecology work after dark.

Begin your Museum Night journey with a unique food experience inspired by the harvest from Tankstation’s community garden.
Our community kitchen will prepare and serve a selection of dishes created from ingredients grown in and around the garden. This shared meal invites visitors to reflect on where food comes from and explore the close relationships between culture, nature, and collective care.
Free Food Ticket Reservation
Reservations for the Ground to Table Food Experience will open on the Museum Night Enschede website on 8 July 2026.
Please note: The food experience is free of charge, but a reservation can only be made by visitors who have purchased a valid Museum Night Enschede ticket.
Places are limited, so early reservation is recommended.
Event 2: Earthly Immersions
📍 Tankstation, Emmastraat 189
🕖 19:00 β 00:00
As darkness settles over the garden, Tankstation transforms into a space for reflection, discovery, and sensory exploration.
The garden will remain open throughout the evening, offering visitors opportunities for close encounters with the site’s non-human inhabitants and the changing seasonal landscape. Experience the garden differently at night, observing the rhythms and subtle activities of the ecosystem that often go unnoticed during the day.
Immersive Installation by Phili Natura
A special highlight of the evening is a new immersive installation by artist Phili Natura.
Created specifically for Museum Night, the work transforms an indoor space into a complete sensory environment inspired by the ongoing evolution of Tankstation’s wildlife and vegetable garden projects. Through sound, visual elements, scent, and atmosphere, visitors are invited into a cozy and contemplative setting that explores the relationship between nature, physical wellbeing, and psychological health.
The installation appeals to multiple senses while encouraging visitors to reconnect with the natural world through observation, presence, and imagination.

Sensory-Friendly Experience
With support from Museum Night Enschede’s sensory-friendly programming initiative, Tankstation will incorporate prikkelarm (low-stimulus) elements throughout the evening.
Visitors looking for a calmer cultural experience can enjoy designated moments and spaces designed to reduce sensory overload while remaining fully engaged with the artworks, garden, and activities. More information about the sensory-friendly program will be announced closer to the event date.
Food & Drinks
Throughout the evening, drinks and refreshments will be available. Tankstation is currently applying for a temporary alcohol exemption permit for the event.
